Your experience ?
At the roots, I come from a completely different sector! I came about this world by chance, I am the opposite of all that is girly or beauty. I'm more into football, league champions, trendy fashion!
I did all my studies in Finance. Interested enough by the financial markets and the universe of the stock market, I then worked in business banking after graduating from Paris Dauphine University (Master 225 - Corporate Finance and Financial Engineering) .
I then left the Rothschild & Cie bank to join the Clinique des Champs-Elysees (Ex Clinic of the Rond-Point des Champs-Elysees), a family business where I partnered with my father to help salvage the business before sinking financially. Very quickly I found a passion for this field and the dynamic universe it belongs to, not to mention the taboo ideas that came with it.
The challenge was risky, but it was a bet on the future!
Tell us about the Clinic ...
The Champs-Elysées Clinic was founded by four childhood friends, including my father Michel Cohen. At the time, cosmetic surgery was barely born and aesthetic medicine was unknown. After a good few years, the Clinic experienced a period of crisis between 2002 and 2010.
I joined the Clinic in December 2010 to restructure, revitalize and understand a very unusual sector with which I quickly became familiar.
After five years of very difficult years, we managed to set up a brand new concept with a beautiful image, a great dynamism and we witnessed an impressive economic turnaround of the company. All our efforts have been rewarded with double-digit growth that continues each year..
We are today in a good perspective of growth and development with beautiful projects in progress.
What is your secret?
We have a faithful patient and that's what motivates me the most in this job. Our brand is a guarantee of security and we offer an experience rich in emotions with a very human and warm side.
What is the specificity of the Clinic?
The DNA of the Clinique des Champs-Elysees is our 365-degree global approach to beauty with a team of "beauty coaches" entirely dedicated to counselling and accompanying patients.
More than a hundred practitioners practice in our institution and bring us their expertise and expertise in each field of aesthetics (surgery, medicine, hair, dental, etc.).
France is the most secure country with very strict regulatory standards in the field of Health. This is another guarantee to our patients as a clinic.
Who are your patients?
There is no typical profile. Patients are 18 to 85 years old and 1 in 3 patients is a male.
Patients are getting younger: 50% are under 35 years old. This is a trend that has evolved tremendously in recent years, ten years ago we were at 15% of patients under 35 years of age.
There is less talk of surgery and operating rooms. Aesthetic medicine has adapted to the demand and offers innovative care, accessible to all.
How is the aesthetic market evolving?
It is growing with a double digit increase over the next ten years. It jumped in France by 18%. If cosmetic surgery has an increase of 10%, then medical procedures have increased by 35%.
The goal is to feel better, with a constantly evolving offer and new techniques that are more and more promising. I think we have not seen anything yet and surely there are some nice surprises to come.
What are your projects ?
I have spent almost two years developing the Clinic in France and abroad. We open Lille early September and New York early November. Other clinics are planned in Lyon, Bordeau and Nice before the end of the year 2020.
