Non-surgical rhinoplasty!

Changing your nose without surgery is now possible to correct slight abnormalities. The technique is based on the injection of hyaluronic acid or botox, without going through a surgical procedure. Here is the information you need to know before making the jump.

What is a medical rhinoplasty?

Medical rhinoplasty consists of reshaping your nose through injections (botox, hyaluronic acid, etc.) without surgery. The procedure is performed in the doctor’s practice and does not require anesthesia. There is no downtime period with this method and the after-effects are extremely minor.

Why have a non-surgical nose job?

Medical rhinoplasty allows you to reshape your nose or erase nasal wrinkles. The results are visible as soon as you leave the practice but not permanent since the injected filling product will gradually be eliminated by your body.

Nonsurgical rhinoplasty is ideal for patients who do not wish to consider surgery or who want to get an idea of what their nose will look like before having an actual surgery. But please have in mind that this technique allows the correction of small abnormalities, without touching the osteocartilaginous structures.

Reshaping your nose

The non-surgical nose job consists of rebalancing certain volumes and reducing the asymmetries on the nose. Without impacting the bone structure, it is, for example, possible to « smooth out” a small bump on the nose by injecting a filler upstream or downstream of it. It is also possible to correct a slightly sag-ging nose tip or a deviation of the nose by giving it a straight line.

Post-surgery touch-up

Botox or hyaluronic acid nose injections can also be used to perfect the aesthetic result after rhinoplasty surgery. This is referred to as secondary medical rhinoplasty because the injections are performed after the surgery. The procedure is particularly indicated when small hollows, bumps, or asymmetries appear after the procedure. It can also treat a small retraction of the nostrils or correct cartilage that is too apparent.

Medical rhinoplasty with botox injections

Botulinum toxin injections are mainly used to lift the tip of the nose that falls on the smile or to correct nostrils that visibly flaunt during a smile. The other indication of botox injections for the nose is the correction of horizontal nose wrinkles.

Medical Rhinoplasty with hyaluronic acid injections

Medical rhinoplasty using hyaluronic acid injections for the nose is the most common. It makes it possible to fill volumes. Thus, it is possible to visually smooth a bump, fill a hollow, or harmonize an asymmetry.

The limits of liquid rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty without surgery has its limits. It is ideal for treating small abnormalities that do not affect the osteocartilaginous structure of the nose. It allows patients who do not wish to undergo surgery to visualize the possible results before considering this heavy procedure. Plus there are no downtime or side effects so no social eviction.

The results obtained are not permanent. To preserve the effects of medical rhinoplasty, the injections must be repeated at regular periods, every 12 to 18 months, depending on the patient. Also note that medical rhinoplasty does not make your nose smaller and may be less suited to a nose that is too large, too bulky, too projected, too wide, or with a large bump. It also knows its limits for the treatment of abnormalities that are too pronounced, deeply affecting the shape of the nose. Under these conditions, surgery may be the best option. Surgical rhinoplasty may also be preferred if the skin is too thick, or if the amount of filler injected is likely to increase the nose significantly and unattractively. Both methods can of course be combined for optimal results.
